Cortech Engineering is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to join its growing family. This position is responsible for telephone-based lead generation and sales conversion. Successful candidates will have excellent phone demeanor and a strong understanding of pumps and process equipment. Within 30 days:
• Learn the fundamentals of positive displacement and centrifugal pump technology
• Learn the fundamentals of reading pump curves
• Demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
Within 60 days:
• Establish at least 15 prospects
• Convert at least 5 prospects to opportunities
Within 150 days:
• Pass a proficiency test on mechanical and electrical concepts
• Maintain a rolling average of [TBD] calls per day with at least [TBD] resulting in quotes as determined by Inside Sales Supervisor
• Meet monthly sales goals as determined by Sales Manager

Major Job Functions
• Call on past customers to determine any active or upcoming opportunities
• Develop prospective customers by cold calling, e-mailing, or reaching out using another method
• Follow up on inbound RFQs
• Other duties as assigned
Computer Skills
• Typing Speed: 45+ wpm
• Microsoft Excel: Intermediate (tables, basic formulae, cell referencing, etc.)
• Microsoft Word: Intermediate (formatting, mail merge, etc.)
• Microsoft Outlook: Intermediate
• PDF Editing: Intermediate
• CRM experience a plus
• ERP experience a plus
Traits and Attributes
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong oral and verbal communication skills
• Extreme sense of urgency
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound, independent judgment
• Mastery of arithmetic and algebraic mathematics

• Background in sales and/or marketing desired
• Travel: < 25% travel is expected • Employees may be required to adhere to the safety requirements of local jobsites including, but not limited to PPE and/or hair policies • Employees may be expected to stand for extended periods of time when visiting offsite facilities
