The Beast is Sandpiper’s newest pump and it certainly lives up to its name. It is a heavy duty, clog-resistant valve pump designed to handle some of the most challenging fluid transfer applications. From chemicals to solids-bearing liquids, it can handle almost anything you feed it.
Key Design Features
The Sandpiper Beast features 2-inch ports and a heavy duty flap valve that provides optimal clog resistance. The flap and seat are constructed from 316 stainless steel and the design offers a longer service life than most conventional flap valves, even under extreme operating conditions. The pump body and the ports are available in a variety of materials to suit different fluid applications, including liquids containing solids or chemicals:
• Small Solids
• Harsh Chemicals
• Large Solids (up to 2 inches)
• Viscous Fluids
• Abrasive Fluids
• Packable Materials
The pump runs using an advanced air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) design. The system provides exceptional energy efficiency, consistent flow rates and minimal shearing. Diaphragm material options include Nitrile (Buna), FDA Nitrile, Neoprene, EPDM, Santoprene, FKM (Viton) and Hytrel. The air distribution valve is a no-lube, no-stall design.
Pump Capacity
The Beast is capable of handling flow rates up to 208 GPM in metallic body pumps and up to 170 GPM in non-metallic body pumps. Maximum pressure ratings are 125 PSI (metallic) and 100 PSI (non-metallic). The pump is also rated for heads up to 289 feet (88 meters) for metallic units and up to 231 feet (70 meters) for non-metallic units.

Performance Guarantees
Sandpiper and Warren Rupp stand behind their pumps, and The Beast is no exception. It is backed with several great performance guarantees. Beast Series pumps have a 5-year limited product warranty. The diaphragm connecting rod has a separate lifetime replacement guarantee not to yield under tension, compression, bending or standard pump operation. Lastly, the Warren Rupp ESADS (Externally Serviceable Air Distribution System) features the only written air valve performance guarantee in the AODD industry. They will replace the air drive system free of charge if the ESADS ever fails to operate.
